Mudd, Caltech) Title: Highlights from the International Carbon Dioxide Conference Speaker: Nir Krakauer (Caltech) Abstract: The latest quadrennial gathering of people working on carbon cycling and related matters took place in September at a plush hotel near Boulder. I'll summarize some of the main themes discussed, including recent changes in carbon uptake by plants and the oceans, expanding the gas-measurement observational network (towers, aircraft, buoys, satellites), and the prognosis for global warming and ocean acidification.
