I'll briefly talk about Crichton's new book, State of Fear, and then have discussion around the following questions:
a) Why has so little been done to curtail greenhouse gas emissions, as compared with the rapid and successful worldwide action against CFCs?
b) What (if anything) should environmental scientists be doing to promote public awareness of or policy initiatives on climate change issues?
